Local businesses involved in the wedding industry are being invited to exhibit at the first Northumberland-wide wedding fair, which aims to be the biggest and best the county has ever seen.
Organisers are looking for a range of wedding specialists including venues, photographers, jewellers, outfitters, florists, car-hire companies, cake makers, caterers and beauticians to come forward to showcase their products and services to potential brides and grooms.
The My Northumberland Wedding Fair is to be held in Ponteland Leisure Centre on Sunday, February 5, between 11am and 3pm.
The venue will be dressed for the day as a wedding marquee with special carpeting and lighting and there will be ample free parking available.
There is an opportunity for up to 100 local businesses to exhibit and as places are limited they will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Any company interested is encouraged to sign up early to avoid disappointment. There will be a minimal cost of £40 for the day.
The event is being organised jointly by Active Northumberland tourism business development and Northumberland County Council’s registration service with the aim of encouraging more couples to book their weddings in Northumberland.
Those wishing to attend can fill in a short application form which is available at www.northumberland.gov.uk/weddingfair
