An Alnwick home improvement company is hosting the launch of a major national kitchen range today.
Birmingham-based Mereway Kitchens has chosen Outlook, in Bondgate Without, as the venue to show off its latest Town and Country collection to London-based journalists.
A day of activities on a Harry Potter theme is planned for the visitors.
They have been sent a VIP invitation to be ‘transported to the magical town of Alnwick’, leaving King’s Cross at 9.30am.
They arrive at 1.30pm to a Champagne and canapé lunch at the Outcook Home Cookery School within Outlook and are then treated to a cooking workshop with Masterchef Live champion Gareth Kyle, one of Outcook’s resident chefs.
After the Town and Country launch at 4pm, the party will transfer to the Hog’s Head Inn then enjoy a meal at The Treehouse.
Tomorrow, the journalists will experience the delights of Alnwick Castle before they head off south.
The prestigious event comes in the same week that Outlook has launched a new line of its own. It now offers a bedroom-fitting service to add to its long-standing kitchen and bathroom business.
Owner Ben Keenan said: “This is an exciting time for us and the Mereway launch is the icing on the cake.”
