At their weekly sale of Primestock John Swan Limited had forward and sold 595 lambs and 315 ewes.

At the final primestock sale under the John Swan banner. Inspec types proved easy to cash others more hesitant. The final pen of lambs forward were sold to Messrs Curle, Bowsden.

In conjunction with the weekly sale Caroline Nelson kindly arranged the Border Suffolk Society’s Club Show, kindly judged by Mr J Curle, Bowsden who awarded the Championship to Messrs Stafford, Shipley Lane, bought by Dougie Watkin, Ladykirk.

Ewes more numerous, all classes easier, the final pen through the ring being bought by Jeff Dunn, West Farm, Ponteland.
