Border Livestock to week ending Friday, July 3, sold 149 prime cattle, 1,942 prime sheep, including 892 lambs; 320 hoggs; 730 cast ewes and 900 store lambs.
Prime cattle continue to firm, with most prices up 5p on previous week.
Aberdeen Angus Crosses sold to 390p per kg from Sandystones Farm, Ancrum and Hill Top East.
Continental Crosses to 357p per kg for Charolais and Limousin Crosses from Eglingham Farm, Alnwick.
Young Bulls, suckler bred were good to sell also reaching 357p per kg (£1,463) 13 months old.
Cast cows remain good to sell with demand improving for plainer (Dairy) kinds.
New season lambs sold to 350p per kg for Texel Crosses from Cherrytrees Farms, Yetholm.
Heavy lambs from Bowsden Moor, Berwick upon Tweed sold to £92 and £89 from Easington Grange, Belford.
Breeding cattle look good value, particularly heifers with calves at foot.

The first store lambs of the season sold well, with 900 sold in the last week to average £51.
