A company that designs and develops innovative technology to improve efficiency and emissions from heavy duty vehicles has been honoured for its work.
Avid Technology, based in Cramlington, took home the Innovation Award, after judges said the successes achieved by the company were remarkable and unique, and praised it for its desire to provide a superior service.
Engineering director Dr Richard Fairchild said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award.
“We are very proud of our heritage in the North East, it is a great place to do business.
“This award is recognition for all the hard work we have put in to grow the business over the last few years.
“We have an excellent team behind us, and this is testament to the work that they do.
“It is absolutely fantastic to be recognised in this way.”
Avid Technology beat competition from Phoenix Taxis and Minicoaches, Mayborn Group, Avid Technology Ltd and B&B Attachments.
