The county received a digital business boost as a new scheme was launched last week.

A new programme, launched at Alnwick Garden, will give businesses in Northumberland a raft of digital and online marketing support.

Arch Digital has commissioned a package of support which helps eligible businesses in Northumberland to harbour the benefits of online technologies through a superfast broadband connection.

The fully-funded support programme consists of face-to-face business advice, access to a unique learning portal and tailored masterclass sessions.

The launch featured business owners, local champions of broadband and guest speakers who have transformed their business through the use of online technology, including Kate Dawson, of the All in One Company, and Joanna Wake, of RAW Marketing, who both use social media in their businesses.

Joanna, managing director at Raw Marketing, said: “The online world opens up so many possibilities for businesses to start, grow and flourish. We are delighted to be involved in this project; allowing us to contribute and develop the online skills of Northumberland’s entrepreneurs, which they can use to expand their business. As an entrepreneur, my businesses have a lot to thank the online world for.

“This makes me extra passionate about RAW Marketing’s involvement in the project, to up skill as many people as possible in the area of online technology.”

iNorthumberland Business Support will help businesses benefit from online technology, saving time, money and improving efficiency. The support package aims to inspire and transform businesses and includes one-to-one business adviser support, access to a pioneering online learning system, and more worth up to £400.
