A job recruitment event at a major tourist attraction prompted a flurry of submissions for vacancies – and there is still time to apply.
The Alnwick Garden hosted the session last Thursday, which was aimed at filling a number of seasonal positions.
A Garden spokeswomen said: “There was a good turnout at the event. We had more than 40 applications submitted that day, with many people taking application forms home to send back.”
While the recruitment event was held last week, the deadline for applications is tomorrow.
Roles include admissions staff, visitor services, retail, cleaners, Poison Garden and programme project workers, while permanent and seasonal chef positions in the Treehouse are also on offer.
Most of the jobs involve dealing with visitors, or potential visitors and the Garden says it can offer flexibility in some of the roles. There are opportunities for people with all kinds of needs.
The Garden is also looking for seasonal theatrical performers. Experience of working with children is preferred for these positions.
