A world-famous fishing firm has announced a revamped ProTeam, made up of some of the finest anglers in the UK, to help inform product development at the company.
Hardy and Greys, in Alnwick, has unveiled the 11-strong group, made up of instructors, guides and competitive anglers, covering a range of styles.
The ProTeam will be on the firm’s stands at various fishing events throughout the year, to help showcase the most recent and innovative products along with offering advice from their wealth of knowledge and experience.
Behind the scenes, their input will help make sure the next generation of tackle is even better than the last.
Some of the ProTeam also offer guiding and tuition and write inspiring and educational fishing articles, both for the company’s Fin & Fly, and for the UK’s main angling publications.
Engaging the services of professional anglers is something the company feels is important for developing the sport, both informing the tackle development process, and being part of the efforts to maintain a high-standard of casting instruction and fishing tuition in the UK.
Hardy and Greys key account and marketing manager, John Henderson, is excited about the team.
He said: “Over the years, we’ve had relationships with various anglers who have had an important role in helping shape the new products we launch and in developing our sport.
“Our re-launched ProTeam is made up from arguably the finest instructors and fisherman in the whole of the UK and Ireland, ranging from world casting champions to international anglers.”
