CHRISTMAS is coming 52 weeks of the year for a Longframlington couple whose expanding farm business is reaping the rewards.

Partners Beth Simpson and Lee Gray started G&S Organics six years ago by selling organic farm food at Berwick Farmers’ Market.

The couple own the 30-acre Christmas Farm from where they run an organic box scheme supplying home-grown produce and hand-reared meat to their customers.

Lee said: “Our delivery area now covers Berwick in the north to South Tyneside and across to Tynedale.

“I’m originally from Darlington and word of mouth from my family and friends has given us a good amount of business there too. It started when my friends told me that they were tired of supermarket deliveries being disrupted and that the meat didn’t taste as good as our own organic products.”

A series of Farm Focus Dinners are planned where diners will see how the animals are reared and insights into how to cook the meat traditionally, all followed by a home-cooked meal in the packing shed.

“We want people to enjoy our food but we also want them to experience elements of the wonderful life we have here on the farm,” said Beth.
