Businesses based in the Rothbury area are being urged to attend free digital introductory workshops run by the iNorthumberland Business Support Team, with the next one taking place on Monday.

The next workshop will run between 1pm and 4pm on Monday. Held at Rothbury Jubilee Institute, the session will enable businesses to meet with business advisors and find out how they can benefit from social media, cloud computing, search-engine optimisation and make the most of digital marketing.

The iNorthumberland Business Support programme is delivered by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, and helps businesses to capitalise on online technology in order to manage and grow their business online. Eligible businesses that also complete 12 hours of training will qualify for 12 months of free superfast broadband – worth up to £400.

Coun Dave Ledger, deputy leader of Northumberland County Council and chairman of Arch, said: “We are encouraging all Northumberland-based businesses to take up the free training available. I strongly recommend registering for the taster workshops. They provide a great opportunity to get a feel for the valuable business support on offer, as well as to meet face-to-face with business advisors who can explain more about the programme and how it can help you to grow your business.”
