Alnwick businesses are being urged to take advantage of a new Government-funded scheme that will help them to be better connected to the internet.
The Broadband Connection Vouchers scheme was launched at the start of the month and registered supplier of the project, Advantex Network Solutions Ltd, wants to see local firms move quickly to benefit from thousands of pounds of free funding.
The Government has set aside £150million to fund the scheme, which enables a business to apply for up to £3,000 to use towards the cost of installing new internet and wifi services.
This could be used to pay for superfast-broadband connection and associated hardware such as wireless and internet security.
Gateshead-based IT firm Advantex is a registered supplier of the connection vouchers and has been in the vanguard of successfully delivering the Go Digital scheme across Tyneside to a number of businesses.
Advantex director Stephen O’Connell is also urging commercial property landlords take advantage a scheme that sees up to £3,000 available to them per tenant.
