Award wins at a prestigious competition, an increased range of treatments and the launch of a mobile app – it’s been a successful 10 years for an Alnwick beauty salon.
Enhance Beauty Rooms reaches double figures on Sunday and owner Jane Williams is delighted with how things have gone since starting a decade ago.
The boutique beauty salon, on Bondgate Without, has gone from strength to strength during this period.
Always one to move with the times, Jane has unveiled the free mobile app – Enhance Beauty Rooms – which allows people to book last-minute appointments and check availability, among other things. It is available via the App Store.
Jane said: “I am delighted to launch the app. I wanted to do it to keep up with the times and to make it more convenient for people. It has been well-received so far.”
Reflecting on the salon’s 10th birthday, Jane said: “I am over the moon to reach 10 years. You are never sure what to expect when you start out, but it has gone really well and I want to thank everyone for their support over the years.”
During that time, the salon has been successful at the English Hair and Beauty Awards.
Jane was named Fake Bake Therapist of the Year in 2013, while in 2014 Enhance took the title of the North East Beauty Salon of the Year. It has also been a finalist in this category over the last few years.
The salon offers a range of treatments and Jane is ably supported by Courtney Dunn, Louise Eamens and Demi Tailford, while hair-extension specialist Stephen Hopper operates his Hairess Manes business from the salon.
Talented Stephen was a finalist at the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2017.
Once a month, Lorna Wardell offers IPL Hair Removal treatment.
