Vet charity the PDSA is seeking to recognise the nation’s miracle pets — but time is running out to send your stories.
Nominations are being sought by the charity for its coveted Pet Survivor title.
Each week, dedicated vets across the country help much-loved pets get back on all four paws again after serious injury or illness, and the PDSA awards celebrate the extraordinary cases where animals have come back from the brink and beaten all odds to return to lead healthy lives.
The awards recognise pets’ fighting spirit, owners’ dedication and the expertise of veterinary professionals.
The competition is open to any pet treated by a vet in the UK for a life-threatening illness or injury between August 1, 2014, and the same date this year.
Pet owners wishing to nominate their ‘miracle’ should visit www.pdsa.org.uk/petsurvivor by Sunday, October 4.
A panel of judges will make a shortlist of finalists to go to a public vote, with the winner announced at the end of the year and claiming a year’s PDSA pet insurance.
