A charity has launched a fund-raising initiative to help it provide vital care to people with life-limiting illnesses.
HospiceCare North Northumberland has unveiled the 250 Business Club, to generate sustainable annual income to enable it to continue to deliver the Hospice at Home Services.
It comes after the charity, which has centres in Alnwick and Berwick, has witnessed a 238 per cent increase in demand by new referrals for the services in the last 24 months.
To help, businesses are being asked to pledge £250 – the cost of one night’s overnight care – to join the newly-created club for a year, in return for a number of perks.
This will include company logo and bio on the Business Club members’ page with a link to your website for 12 months; exposure on HospiceCare’s Facebook page; the Business Club will receive a mention in the monthly supporters e-shots and in its annual clinical magazine, that has a guaranteed circulation of 33,000; and participating firms will be provided with the Business Club logo and poster for promotional and display purposes. Those who are signed up will also be invited to attend, and host, an annual club networking event.
The hospice’s Julie Frost, said: “£250 is the cost of one night’s overnight care of our Hospice at Home services. By joining, you will make it easier for us to plan for the future and help people living in north Northumberland with a life-limiting illness, also supporting their families and carers.”
