The Parliamentary democracy which she praises is entirely reliant on the first responsibility of MPs being to their constituents, supporting their wellbeing and concerns in Parliament and trying to resolve them.
Instead, a group of MPs in the Conservative Party seems to be taking advantage of its own weak Government to promote their personal libertarian beliefs ahead of the ‘national good’ by trying to force the country into a ‘hard Brexit’.
This week’s headlines read: ‘Hard Brexit ‘disaster’ for North farms’. To me, the evidence for this is clear.
With this in mind, this group of MPs appears not to be on the side of rural Britain.
