Brave Bella needs home

The latest addition to the family at SHAK, this year’s Jam Jar Army charity, is little Bella.

According to Stephen Wylie from the charity, she has had a tough time, ‘but is making new friends already, and showing so much love to us all it is incredible considering the state she is in’.

He said: “Such a brave and strong little girl and she is getting stronger each day, but we need to find a home for her soon, so if you could offer her some TLC and a warm bed, please contact”

“And some great news about Benji, who appeared in the Gazette a few months ago.

“I had a great morning seeing Benji in his new home recently, and boy has he gone upmarket!

“He looks so happy running round the grounds of a stately hall, and his two new canine sisters really seem to like having him there.

“I am pleased and proud for this little guy, he now has a mam and dad who love him dearly.”

We want businesses, organisations, families and individuals all to hold collections as we aim to match or surpass the last two Army campaigns.

Contact us – on 01665 602234 or – if you want to get involved or have any ideas for fund-raising.

We have some jam jars and stickers to collect at the Gazette office and full jars can be dropped off at the Gazette office or Taylor’s newsagents and the Lions’ bookshop, both on Bondgate Within.
