Birthday ceilidh event
One of the UK's leading folk music experts will be among performers at the first birthday celebration of the Northumbrian Ceilidh in Warkworth.
Dr Vic Gammon will be appearing at the Memorial Hall on Tuesday. Former Senior Lecturer in Folk and Traditional Music at Newcastle University’s International Centre for Music Studies, Vic, an expert fiddle player, will join the Reel Northumbrian Ceilidh Band and members of Werca’s Folk to entertain enthusiasts with dancing, singing and recitations.
