Plans for extensions to The Grange care home in Rennington are set for the green light later today.
A bid for the erection of two single-storey extensions and a link corridor to the rear of the building are recommended for approval at today’s North Northumberland Local Area Council meeting.
The extension to the north-west elevation would provide a modest expansion of the day room. The extension to the south-east would provide two additional ensuite bedrooms and a laundry room.
Rennington Parish Council has ‘strongly objected on grounds of parking provision, residential amenity, road safety, reliance on the adjacent development being completed, access for emergency vehicles, surface-water drainage and impact on trees to the rear of the site’.
