The next meeting of the North Northumberland branch of Northumberland and Durham Family History Society takes place on September 17, at 9.45am for 10am at Bell View Centre, West Street, Belford.
Whether you are an old-hand at this or just starting to explore your family history, you are welcome to join our branch.
Why not come along to our first meeting of the new season when David Lockie, local farmer, will be telling the story of a Northumbrian who emigrated to New Zealand?
As well as informative and entertaining talks by a variety of speakers, we hold sessions where we bring along stories and photographs, etc, from our own research.
Some amazing tales have been heard at these sessions.
It is also a very useful way of picking up tips and sharing ideas for those times when you hit a brick wall and an ancestor seems to disappear into thin air – something that happens to us all.
