Becoming a regular fixture on the calendar the event, organised by Coquetdale Round Table, will again be held in Longframlington Memorial Hall.

As in previous years proceeds from the festival will be given to HospiceCare North Northumberland.

The festival starts on Friday from 6pm to 11pm with 14 beers and five ciders on offer as well as wine and Pimms and free soft drinks for drivers. Food will be available at all times. Friday night will also see live music from Tom O’Donnell and Oil City Connection.

On Saturday the beer festival will be holding a family fun day with attractions to keep children entertained, including a bouncy castle and face-painting, from noon to 6pm – and children’s entry is free.

On Saturday night there will be an open mic night for any budding musicians.

Tabler Steven Buckley said: “We’ve previously raised £1,500 for HospiceCare North Northumberland and it would be great if we could beat that this year.”

Admission costs £5, which includes a souvenir half pint glass and your first token. Tokens are then £1.25 per half pint.
