Bedroom farce set to have audience laughing

An amateur dramatics theatre group will take to the stage with its latest production next week.

Alnwick Theatre Club is in the final stages of preparation for its performances of In My Lady’s Chamber at Alnwick Playhouse.

The adult-only play, written by Giles Scott, is being directed by Helen Gee-Graham. It is a comedy bedroom farce and set to have the audience in stitches.

While Lord William has been away, Lady Jane has been dallying with his Squire, but now his Lordship has returned and intends to relieve Her Ladyship of the chastity belt she is no longer wearing and cannot find – and that is when the trouble starts.

The cast has had great fun in rehearsals with tears of laughter being a regular occurrence.

The three-night run starts on Wednesday at the Playhouse with performances each night at 7.30pm.
