Also from the United States, one of the hottest acts on Boston’s country folk-roots music scene Laura Cortese and The Dance Cards will be performing, comprising Laura on violin, Valerie on cello, fiddler Jenna and bassist Natalie.

Then the acclaimed songsmith Martin Stephenson will be playing a special, one-off solo set, just for the Cantina. His patter and tunes should be eagerly anticipated.

And one of the UK’s premier young rockabilly/RNR bands, Howlin Ric and The Rocketeers, will finish the evening off as debutants to this music extravaganza.

There will also be the afternoon songwriters’ circle, with artists from around the globe. From Norwich there is Jess Morgan, alongside Scotland’s Al Shields, Serious Sam Barrett from Leeds, and deservedly just added, Elaine Palmer, from North Denby.

Shipcote and Friends, who have just played the acclaimed Red Rooster Fest, will play a little early afternoon set of their own acoustic Northern swing tunes.

And Calico Bonnet, the young female guitar/fiddle duo, will debut some old time country.

Finally, a friend of the Jumpin’ Hot Club, the slide guitar man from Amble, Johnny Dickinson, is set to pop along and perform a rare set.

The event runs from noon to 11pm.

La Fiesta, the food stall people, will be bringing along good old country fare, with burritos and a barbecue, lots of vegan and veggie food, plus cakes, coffee and light snacks.
