During our business agenda we heard about county events, which involved a domino drive, planting spring pots, a flower demonstration, a bowls competition, learning to crochet, a competition day and a summer outing in July.

We had also received an invitation to North Sunderland/Seahouses WI’s 92nd birthday party in February.

We are having our belated Christmas lunch at the Mizen Head Hotel on February 20, holding a quiz night at the Castle Inn on February 25, and having a programme planning meeting on February 26 in the Victoria Hotel.

We did not have a speaker but had the pleasure of being entertained by Marjorie Turner, who not only gave a demonstration of dancing, but had us all doing dance steps in our seats, as well as some of us getting up to do an hilarious attempt at Greek dancing.

We certainly had a fun afternoon, which ended with a delicious tea.
