Bags of fun at coffee morning

Fund-raising is in the bag for the Glendale Agricultural Society.

Glendale Agricultural Society members with the prize-winning shopping bags.

A highlight of the event will be the launch of the society’s shopping bags, which were designed by William Leech, from Northumberland Church of England Academy.

Schools were invited to design a bag showing historic farming on one side and modern day farming on the other.

Their designs were judged by Stewart and Sarah Nelson and the winning design has been printed on to the bags, which will be on sale at the event.

The coffee morning, featuring home-baking, a raffle and tombola, opens at 10am with all proceeds going towards funding the 2017 countryside day in June.
