AWARDS: Disappointed at attendance
My husband and I, as the grandparents of Isaac Atkinson, took Isaac to the presentation of Garden Awards at the Alnwick Gardens. His sunflower won second prize.
We had a very pleasant evening and would like to say a big thank you to all who made this possible.
We were, however, very disappointed with the poor attendance, including winners who did not turn up to collect their awards.
In our view this is not only rude, but a snub to the committee who had taken time and trouble doing the judging.
We hope to attend again next year.
