Aurora lights up Northumberland sky for a second night

This was the beautiful scene at Bamburgh last night.

Northumberland Gazette photographer Jane Coltman captured this image of the aurora borealis.

Taken at one minute past midnight, green and red bands of light can be clearly seen behind the clouds.

For those of you interested in the details the camera settings were f2.8, ISO 2500 and a 25 second exposure.
