£5k raised for charity
Nearly £5,000 has been raised by energetic youngsters and staff at a Northumberland school.
Central Primary School, in Ashington, was among the many number of schools and organisations to take part in the national fundraiser Sport Relief.
And they recently celebrated handing over a cheque for £4,921.51 – the highest amount ever raised by the school.
The money was raised after pupils completed the Run a Mile event.
A total of 22 staff members also completed a virtual spinning challenge at Ashington Leisure Centre.
Pupils also spent time in lessons learning more about Sport Relief and the work it does in the UK and around the world.
