Concerned caravan owners who say they have been told to upgrade their ageing vans or leave a holiday park in a seaside town are preparing to draw up battle lines to fight the move.
Last week, we reported how people with vans 15 years or older at the five-star Amble Links Coastal Retreat and Holiday Park claimed they had been ordered to purchase more modern models or move off the site.
Emotions are also running high as some owners say they have been mis-sold and were not told that there was an age limit on the park.
Furious caravan owners from the site, which is run by Park Leisure, have vowed that they will not go down without a fight.
They say they intend to thrash out the issue and come up with a strategy to try to force a U-turn.
One owner, who did not want to be named, said: “We are trying to find out how many people are affected and how many will be affected in the future. We really want this issue resolved.
“We want to see if anyone has got any good ideas to try to get this issue resolved and try to work out a strategy which may force the company into a rethink.”
