Gretchen Peters, a Grammy-winning songwriter and Nashville Songwriting Hall of Fame inductee said: “I cannot stop listening to Barely. Go get this record now.”

Detor’s previous solo albums have reached national and international prominence, including number one on the Euro Americana Chart and top 10 in the US Folk and Independent Music charts.

The concert in Seahouses is the first in the 2017 series at St Cuthbert’s House, a restored former church and B&B.

Owner Jeff Sutheran said: “Krista has played here twice over the years, and has made a deep impression on those who were here on both occasions. Her music is so beautiful, vulnerable and insightful. She is the real deal – a very thoughtful and intelligent writer, and an incredible musician, with a great line of chat for the audience.”

Tickets for the concert cost £10, available from 01665 720456.
