Amble Town Council round-up: Code Club, litter and dog poo
Amble Town Council has donated £500 to Amble Development Trust.
Members agreed that the priority is to cover printing costs for the new Code Club.
The group helps youngsters learn the basics of computer programming.
The remainder of the cash can be used to help community newspaper, The Ambler, buy a laptop and software.
• Work to clear The Gut in Amble should take place soon. The county council’s Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management team has told Amble Town Council that the landowner of The Gut is willing to contribute towards the clearing of it. The department is trying to organise things and hopes that the work will be done in the near future.
• Amble resident Gillian Robson told the town council earlier this month that the only thing letting The Friendliest Port down was litter and dog fouling. The next town-council litter pick will be in the spring.
