Brian English has unveiled the track, We Are There For You, which features the lyrics ‘lost but not alone’, and ‘happiness will come again’.

Geordie favourite Ant was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving a week ago following a three-car crash in South West London. He checked into rehab the next day – seven months after he left a facility where he was being treated for an addiction to prescription drugs.

Brian said: “I wrote this song dedicated to Ant because I have suffered with depression and anxiety.

“Ant is in the spotlight wherever he is and I believe he has hit a rocky patch in his life. He has made mistakes, but don’t we all, and I believe Ant will be sorry for what has happened with the car crash.

“He is suffering from problems, just like any Joe Bloggs in the street, and I believe in supporting people who are going through difficult times. Let’s support Ant and pick him back up. Don’t kick a man when he’s down. Get well soon Ant.”

The We Are There For You music video can be viewed on Brian’s Facebook page.

Brian added: “I also have a self-help video for anxiety and depression on my Facebook page. It is doing well.”

Brian has previously released the track Amble Town, which praised The Friendliest Port’s community spirit, as well as the NUFC Song, which is a tribute to the fans’ loyalty.
