Amble Photographic Group

SUCCESS CONTINUES: Amble Photographic Group members are continuing to enjoy their meetings most Friday mornings and the success of winning the shield at Ashington last month has boosted their ego.

There was stiff competition from five other clubs.

The shield was awarded for most points gained in the NCPF Northern Area Interclub Digital Image Competition.

Membership has grown to more than 50 from an initial 17 when the group was created in 2006.

There is a varied, interesting programme including tutorials, workshops, speakers, regular field-trips and short holidays.

Members take part in internal and external competitions and several of them attend workshops organised by other clubs in the area gaining valuable knowledge and experience.

Recently, Alnwick Playhouse displayed an exhibition of photographs produced by members.

Another exhibition is being held in the Amble Town Council Office.

It started on Monday and runs until Monday, April 30.
