With a fortnight left to go in the Great British High Street Competition public vote, Amble has risen from second to first place in the Coastal Communities category.
Amble needs your votes in the national competition to find Britain’s best high street.
Four weeks into the six-week public voting period, a rankings release by the Great British High Street Competition has revealed that in the Coastal Communities category, Amble is now in top spot, ahead of Prestatyn, in Wales, and Bognor Regis.
But with two weeks to go until voting closes, that could all change.
Winners in each of the seven categories get a share of a prize pot worth £80,000 which includes expert training and tailor-made tips from Google’s training taskforce for 100 of their shops, bars and restaurants.
With the public vote making up 50 per cent of the final decision, the team behind Amble high street is urging people to get behind their bid for glory.
Between now and Friday, November 13, you can cast your vote for free via thegreatbritishhighstreet.co.uk or on Facebook.
