Crowds of well-wishers turned out in force to welcome Sophie, Countess of Wessex, in Amble today.
Her first stop this morning was at the Coquet Shorebase Trust before she headed to the Pride of Northumbria shop along Queen Street.
She met children at the Town Square and then went to the Harbour Village and the Seafood Centre.
He last port of call was at the recently-transformed Paddlers Park.
She unveiled two plaques during her visit and young and old alike lined the streets to see her.
