Alnwick's new chippy open for business
A second fish-and-chip shop in Alnwick town centre has today officially opened for business.
The new chippy, run by Geoff Jobson and his son Jamie, has opened in the former Greenwoods premises on Paikes Lane.
Jobson's has been serving since Wednesday to test the waters but today marks the official opening.
Geoff first announced his plans more than a year ago, in February 2015, before an application to change the building’s use was submitted in June last year.
