The media spotlight will once again fall on Alnwick this weekend.
Scores of media and press from across the country are set to be in town for the wedding on Saturday amid speculation that high-profile guests will be in attendance.
Designated press areas will be arranged on Bailiffgate.
WEDDING IS FOR LOCALS AS WELL
The Duchess of Northumberland has said that she really wants the community to enjoy the occasion as well.
She told the Gazette: “This is all about the loyal extended Alnwick family and we really want them to share in it.”
Local suppliers, including Turnbull’s of Alnwick, are being used.
PARTYTIME FOR ESTATES STAFF
A special party night is being held for staff at Northumberland Estates on Thursday night.
Staff at the Duke of Northumberland’s business arm and guests have been invited to the celebration to thank them for their work in the lead-up to the wedding.
It is being held at Alnwick Castle.
BRIDE’S DRESS WILL GO ON DISPLAY
Alnwick Castle was closed to the public at 6pm on Tuesday and will not reopen until Wednesday, June 26.
The closure has taken place to allow for events to be organised for Lady Melissa’s wedding.
When the attraction reopens the bride’s dress will be on display in the Coach House.
