Barresdale Triple Diner, on Sycamore Avenue, relaunched last Wednesday and the venue has undergone a major refurbishment. As well as boasting a fresh look, the fast-food premises has unveiled a new menu, which includes flame-grilled bites. Other options include fish and chips, kebabs and southern-fried chicken, plus a range of children's dishes, among other things. A delivery service is available.

The shop is run by husband and wife team, Amina Begum and Roy Uddin, and the pair are delighted to reopen the doors of Barresdale Triple Diner. Amina said: "We decided to close a year and a half ago, but people kept asking us if we were going to reopen, so we have given the premises a refurbishment and began welcoming customers again last week. The support we have received so far has been fantastic and people are saying that they are glad that we are reopen and have given us really good feedback about the new look, which is smart and fresh."

Amina and Roy also run Mivesi Indian Restaurant and English Café, which is based in Alnwick Market Place.
