She will be going out with a bang this weekend, as the town holds a busy Easter market.

Tomorrow, the monthly farmer’s market will be supplemented by family entertainment, live music and a basketry demonstration by craft expert Anna Turnbull, of Lowick-based Biteabout Arts.

The Market Place will also play host to the Christians Together Good Friday act of witness at noon.

The Easter market will be held on Saturday, with an array of stalls and family fun.

Dawn said: “The Easter market is a great way to say goodbye. We are expecting 40 stalls and pitches on Saturday.

“As well as our regular food, craft and clothing producers, there will be confectionery treats for those with a sweet tooth and hot-food stands on both days, as well as a full programme of music and family fun on Friday and Saturday.”
