A man has been jailed for almost six months for a burglary in Northumberland.
Peter Pringle, 43, of Upper Barresdale, Alnwick, appeared at Mid and South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
He was jailed for 24 weeks for a burglary which happened at a premises at Clayport Bank in Alnwick where damage was caused but nothing was stolen.
Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott said: “Pringle is well know in communities in Alnwick, where he has caused misery for residents, and I’m pleased he will serve time behind bars for this offence.
“We’ll continue to target those people suspected of being involved in crime and disorder in Alnwick and put them before the courts.”
The sentence comes during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling thieves and burglars and ensuring residents have crime prevention advice.
