HospiceCare North Northumberland is to benefit from the Summer House Sounds series of concerts at Alnwick Castle.

The independent palliative care service, which has day-therapy centres in Alnwick and Berwick, has been selected as the charity partner for the four headline concerts by Nile Rodgers and his band CHIC on July 11, Sir Tom Jones on July 13, Madness on July 14 and Il Divo with Michael Ball on July 15.

Marketing officer Julie Frost said: “We’re excited that we have been chosen as charity partner.”

Summer House Sounds is presented by live music promoters Cuffe and Taylor.

Director Peter Taylor said: “We are delighted to be welcoming HospiceCare as the charity partner. It is important for us to reach out to local communities when we are travelling around the UK to put on live events.”
