Hotel search website trivago.co.uk has released the results of their annual trivago Awards, using more than 175million aggregated hotel reviews and semantic analysis to determine the best-rated hotels in regions across the UK.
This year, the best hotels have been awarded across eight different categories – three-star, four-star, five-star, B&Bs, value for money, breakfast, guest service and guest rooms.
And in the North East, the value for money prize went to Redfoot Lea, a B&B based at Greensfield Moor Farm in part of a converted farm steading dating back to the 1850s.
Johannes Thomas, managing director at trivago, said: “Our trivago awards recognise those hoteliers who deliver an exceptional experience to their guests and we are proud and delighted to award those achievements.”
