Lewis, a former Duchess’s High School pupil, said: “I’m so excited and thrilled to be back at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House. It’s my fourth pantomime season there.

“I feel like part of the furniture now and it’s so welcoming to return to see all the familiar faces and staff at the theatre.

“People can expect a fun-filled, family show, with glitz, glamour, magic and Geordie humour.

“We have a fantastic all-star cast, who are all so talented. It’s a really strong cast.

“My favourite thing about panto is getting to do it close enough to home.

“I’m one of the few cast members that actually gets to go home and spend Christmas with my family, always that little bit special.”

Earlier this year Lewis was performing with male four-piece band Troubadour on ships across the world and around the UK.

And he will be back after panto.
