An online emporium of homewares and gifts has just opened a new showroom in Northumberland.

Partners Claire McAlpine, Anna Kirkup and Eliza Browne-Swinburne travel to India and Africa to source their colourful collections of hand crafted home accessories, objects and gifts and they work with artisans in many regions of India, Africa, Morocco and Afghanistan.

Now customers can see the range for themselves at the new ibbi showroom at Vallum, near Corbridge.

The Aladdin’s cave includes small, hand-painted bowls, cups and mugs from Africa, hand-blown glasses and cufflinks from Afghanistan, Turkish-inspired jewellery, original watercolours, table linen, block printed quilts and vintage Indian throws from Rajasthan and Indian day beds and vintage cycle rickshaws from the streets of Jaipur.

Anna said: “We’re always looking for the unique and the unusual and we love offering inspiration and hopefully motivatingpeople to be adventurous with their interiors.”

The showroom is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 2.30pm, excluding public holidays. For appointments outside these hours call 01830 530433 or email info@ibbidirect.co.uk
