A1 junction concern moves forward

CONCERNS about the lack of lighting on the A1 are moving forward.

In February, the Gazette reported that residents in Felton who use the West Moor junction on the road were worried about potential accidents because of a dangerous junction.

County councillor for the area, Glen Sanderson, pictured, urged the Highways Agency to do something about it but was told that it was not their policy to put up lights.

However, Coun Sanderson held a meeting with Stephen Spink from the agency at which he expressed the concerns.

He said it went ‘well’ and he is awaiting a response about what can be done at the location.
