A variety of memories

Lesley Amer, a member of Alnwick Variety contacted us about this picture. She said the group raised money for local charities doing three shows a year, starting in the White Swan, and then was one of the first to perform when the Playhouse opened.

She named some of those pictured as Joan Quince, Sally Miller, Vicky Kinghorn, Betty Dodds, Len Reece, Maureen Carr, Don Beattie, Fred Calvert, Sid Porteous and George Brown.
