A rise in staycations in Northumberland

Easter school-holiday staycation bookings to Northumberland are up 17 per cent on last year, according to figures released by Sykes Holiday Cottages.

The independent holiday rental agency’s data shows that the county has experienced one of the biggest growths in Easter bookings across the UK.

Northumberland has proved particularly popular over Easter for holidaymakers from the North West and East Midlands.
