A lost cause

A NORTH Northumberland village was unsuccessful in its attempt to win super-fast broadband in an online competion.

Rothbury was top in the North East for the number of votes cast in the BT Race to Infinity competition. But the village only received 33 per cent of votes required, meaning they lost out.

No villages or towns in the county reached the 75 per cent mark, when BT said they would speak to communities to help improve services.
