Jet2 announces three new destinations from Newcastle Airport for next Summer
Jet2 have announced that holiday makers will be able to fly from Newcastle to three new destinations in sunny Greece from Summer 2021.
The airline has announced it will be launching flights and holidays to Kefalonia, Santorini and Skiathos from Newcastle Airport for Summer 21.
Customers will now be able to travel to nine Greek destinations from Newcastle next summer.
The news comes after flights to Crete were launched from the North East airport last month.
Jet2’s new weekly services to each of the new routes represents almost 20,000 additional seats on sale to Greece from Newcastle Airport.
Sun seekers can fly to Santorini on a Monday from July 26 though to November 1 and to Kefalonia on a Friday from May 21 through to October 8.
The company said the announcement comes in response to strong demand for holidays to Greece in Summer 2021 and follows last week’s announcement that flights and holidays will now depart from Bristol airport, its tenth UK base.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Demand from customers and independent travel agents across the North East is telling us that flights and holidays to Greece are very much in demand for Summer 21.
"As ever, we are responding quickly to that demand to give customers even more choice from Newcastle Airport.
"Kefalonia, Skiathos and Santorini are magical destinations, and we know their appeal, coupled with our award-winning customer experience, will make them extremely popular options and we look forward to flying happy holidaymakers away.”
