Showcase your skills in Northumberland bakery's cake competition

The Farm Bakery, which has shops in Alnwick and Amble, is running a cake competition with prizes galore and certificates for everyone.

“We’ve had a great response, probably about 20-30 entries so far, so this is the last push,” said Colyn.

“I wanted people of all ages to showcase their talents, it’s a bit of fun in the boredom of these lockdowns.

"Kids are ‘off’ on half term next week and parents are probably looking for something different to keep them happy... make and decorate a cake and have it showcased.”

Details on how to enter can be picked up from the Alnwick and Amble shops or from its Facebook page.

Entries must be on a £2.50 12” board provided and handed in to the Alnwick shop no later than Friday, February 19.

Independent judges will assess the entries with the winners to be announced on Sunday, February 21.
