Bakery chain Greggs opens its first shop in Amble
A new Greggs shop has opened in Amble town centre.
The arrival of the popular bakery chain has created 12 jobs.
It has moved into the former Heron Foods store on Queen Street.
Shop manager Ann Orgill said: “We’re excited to be opening our doors in Amble and becoming part of the local community. Whether customers are stopping by for breakfast, lunch or a coffee break, we're looking forward to serving them from our new shop on Queen Street.”
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Amble has brought 12 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
The opening hours are: Monday – Saturday: 6.30am to 6pm; Sunday: 7am to 5pm.
